As Sales Director you will join a passionate and talented team dedicated to transforming the way companies think about customer data. You will coordinate prospecting efforts and develop a territory plan with your counterpart on the Market Development Team. You’ll need to evangelize 360Science, educate prospective customer, develop high level relationships, negotiate business terms, and run a complex solution based sales process.
What are we looking for?
Someone who is infinitely curious. Someone who understands that to earn trust you need to actively listen to uncover what the customer is “really” saying. Someone who understands that fundamental of great storytelling requires rich detail only captured by observing the smallest details.
You’ll need to conduct demonstrations and presentations that express 360Science’s value in a way that’s truly relevant to your audience. This means doing your homework, understanding the finest nuances of your the customer, and delivering a story that leaves them asking, “where have you been all my life?
Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? This role comes with a great deal of autonomy and affords you the ability to run your desk like your own business. Any successful business owner would agree, time management, testing, measurement, reporting, accurate forecasting and accountability are all necessary ingredients to success. We want someone who will come up with new and innovative ways of developing relationships, cracking open target accounts, and closing deals.
You’ll need a minimum of four years experience selling SaaS or licensing technology in a quota carrying capacity. A BA/BS degree or equivalent is required. There are no lone wolves here, communication and collaboration with teams like support, sales engineering, relationship management and product are critical to your success.
So far this probably seems very similar to other SD roles out there. It’s not! To be a successful sales director at 360Science you need to have an EXTREMELY strong foundation in technical software sales.
